Yellow Gold Pear Engagement Rings
Every Claratas pear design can be made in yellow gold. Choose your metal, gold karat and stone on any ring below.
A pear combines the brilliance of a round with a marquise point, and it is directional: point toward the fingernail lengthens the finger, point toward the wrist reads softer and more vintage. Either way the tip needs a V-prong or chevron cap, since it is the first place a stone will chip. Yellow gold is the traditional setting for a pear and the one that follows the teardrop outline best, because the warm metal carries the curve without the hard edge a cool metal gives it. Karat changes the depth of color: 9K is paler and harder, 18K richer and softer. Warm metal also flatters a stone in the lower color grades.
