Rose Gold Oval Engagement Rings

An oval is a round brilliant stretched along one axis, so it keeps the round's sparkle while covering more finger. That extra length is the point of the shape, and warm metal pushes it further: rose gold sits close to skin tone, so the eye follows the line of the stone instead of stopping at the edge of the band, and the oval reads longer still. The copper in the alloy also makes rose gold slightly harder than yellow, useful on a long stone whose ends sit near the setting edge. Lower karats hold a stronger pink; 18K is softer and richer. On any oval, check the bowtie across the center and the length-to-width ratio, usually 1.30 to 1.50.
