Halo Diamond Engagement Rings
Halo engagement rings frame the center stone with a ring of smaller diamonds, adding extra sparkle and the appearance of greater size. Available in solid gold, with Lab-Grown, Natural, or Moissanite stones.
A halo earns its keep optically. Encircling the centre stone with a band of small diamonds breaks the outline between stone and metal, so the centre reads as noticeably larger than its carat weight alone would suggest. The surrounding stones also sit slightly proud of the girdle, which is the most vulnerable edge on a faceted stone.
The effect shifts with the centre shape. Round and cushion centres sit inside an even halo and read as one continuous disc of light. Elongated shapes — oval, pear, marquise — take a halo that follows the outline, which exaggerates the length rather than softening it. A hidden halo places the accent stones beneath the centre stone instead, visible from the side, so the ring reads as a plain solitaire face-on.
