Hoop Diamond Earrings

A hoop is sized by diameter, and the number is less intuitive than it sounds — a 20mm hoop sits roughly at the base of the lobe, 30mm clears the jawline, and anything above 40mm reads as a statement. Inner diameter is what determines how the hoop sits; outer diameter includes the thickness of the metal.
Diamond placement changes the look more than the stone count does. Front-facing settings put all the light where it is seen head-on and leave the back plain, which keeps the weight down. Inside-out hoops carry stones on both faces so the hoop sparkles from any angle, at roughly double the stone weight. Hinged closures are more secure than friction posts on larger diameters.
